How anti hail nets absorb impact
Anti hail nets are woven from high-tenacity HDPE yarn in a reinforced mesh pattern designed to flex and absorb the kinetic energy of falling hailstones, rather than letting them strike the crop directly. A reinforced rope border keeps the panel under correct tension across the structure.
Sunlight and airflow are preserved
Unlike solid covers, the open weave of an anti hail net allows the majority of sunlight and air through to the canopy, so photosynthesis, fruit colour development and disease-relevant airflow are not significantly compromised.
